
Oxagon Marine Port Complex
Engineering the Future of Global Trade
Oxagon is positioned to become the next paradigm for industrial cities and the largest floating industrial structure in the world. Located strategically in the southwest corner of NEOM on the Red Sea, the project centers around an advanced integrated port and logistics hub. SS KHOZAMA was contracted to lead the critical marine earthworks and subsea foundational engineering required to support this unprecedented maritime infrastructure.
To prepare the site for the port's planned capacity of 1.5 million TEUs by 2030, our marine divisions executed massive underwater dredging and land reclamation operations. Using a specialized fleet of dredgers and heavy subsea equipment, we contoured the seabed to accommodate the deep drafts of next-generation automated container ships. By carefully managing the displacement of marine sediments, we established a robust, stable seabed foundation capable of anchoring the colossal floating industrial sectors of the city.


Subsea Utility Corridors and Infrastructure
A critical component of the Oxagon project is its smart city infrastructure, requiring a sophisticated network of subsea conduits to connect the floating elements to the mainland. SS KHOZAMA managed the precise subsea trenching and placement of heavy-duty conduit systems.
Our crews engineered protective subgrade utility corridors designed for heavy-load protection and long-term durability. We installed extensive networks of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and PVC pipes to serve as the backbone for the city's water delivery, energy transmission, and fiber-optic data transport. By executing this complex underwater civil engineering to strict international standards, we ensured that Oxagon's highly automated, AI-driven industries will have the secure and resilient power and data connections they require.
